G’day, how’s it goin?

I’m Cal, an Art Director from Sydney (actually Wollongong, but who cares). Art direction is how I wrangle my obsession with photography, design, illustration, music, and film into a nice, neat little career. My blog, Art Directors Can’t Write, is another outlet for those passions and a place where I attempt to compile an eloquent combination of words on creativity in advertising, film, music, photography and culture.

I value the human touch and embrace imperfections; they’re the tell-tale signs work was made with hands and not just a prompt-hungry robot.

Like most creative professionals, I’ve long since made peace with my caffeine addiction. Give me a buzz if you’re up for a good brew and an even better yarn.
